Here’s why we believe remote working is the way of the future.
Remote working doesn’t have to be fully virtual like we are but it means having a day or two working from home or from a different location that isn’t the office.
How it benefits employees:
- Freedom and flexibility – working from home gives employees the freedom to do work when they want. They have the flexibility to work around home appointments. And not having the ask for special permission means employees feel empowered.
- Cost saving – being home means you don’t spend more money on travel, coffees, lunches etc you can keep your cost down
- Save time – you can get up walk to your office and start working. You save time by not having the travel giving you more time in your day to achieve things
- Location – you can work anywhere. So if your partner needs to move you can still work at your place. Working remotely means you can on top of a mountain, next to the see or on a farm all you need is a good internet connection.
- Peace and quiet – there is so much noise that occurs in an office. Phones going off, people talking, just things happening. While this can be good socially it can make it hard to work. Working from home means you don’t have this.
- Mental health can also improve with remote working, as there is less stress, and working in your own environment can be relaxing. And happy employees are productive and motivated which leads to better quality work.
- In the past remote working was only for freelancers or the self employed. But no longer. Today’s remote workers are building a professional reputation as the employees of the future
- The ability to work remotely offers a better work/ life balance. Working away from the office can make you feel more in control and allow you more time to plan both work and home tasks.
- If you work remotely and have your own office space, you can personalize it to reflect your personality and make it your own. If you love to spend time in your office it will increase your output.
