Get Rid of Distractions

Rid your self of distractions.

We all have those times where we struggle to focus on the tasks ahead. Whether we are procrastinating by scrolling social media or doing pointless time-wasting tasks. When we are like this there are a few things you can do to help you focus:

  1. Turn your phone on silent and place it in a drawer so its out of sight
  2. Download a productivity app or have your calendar right in front of you to help you keep on track
  3. Organise your time into ‘chucks’  where you can focus entirely on a task for a set time (30 or 60 minutes usually) before allowing yourself a little break of distraction. 5 minutes at most, set a timer to be sure you don’t start procrastinating again
  4. When time is critical, you can even log out of your emails and focus on the task ahead
  5. If you love music, sometimes a good way to cut out of the distractions is by plugging in your earphones and listening to something that helps you focus
